In 2019, Gourry de Chadeville turned 400, and the house marked the anniversary with a special bottling of its VS. Same land, same methods, but a bottle made to commemorate four unbroken centuries of history in Grande Champagne.
Expert's Description
Gourry de Chadeville V.S. 400th Anniversary 1er Cru French Cognac is a Cognac from Grande Champagne, bottled at 40% for the house's 400th anniversary in 2019.
Gourry de Chadeville is the world's oldest Cognac house, founded in 1619, where the family still farms the same land in Segonzac through fifteen generations. The anniversary bottling builds on the house's classic VS style, soft and generously full-bodied, but marked with the anniversary year as a tribute to that continuity.
All Cognac from Gourry de Chadeville is distilled and matured on the estate, exclusively in Limousin oak casks, giving a natural, deep colour even in the house's youngest expression.
