Gammel Reserve Norsk Akvavit is a Norwegian akvavit at 41.5% ABV, a cask-matured blend of three classic Norwegian akvavits.

The akvavit was created in 1927 as a blend of Løiten Linie, Gammel Opland and Lysholm Linie, all distilled from potatoes and spiced with caraway among other things. The blend is matured in casks for up to three years, giving it its characteristic depth and body. Gammel Reserve is produced today by the Norwegian house Arcus, part of the Nordic spirits family also behind brands such as Lysholm and Linie.

Nose

Aroma of oxidised apples, caraway, a hint of smoke, liquorice and wood from the cask maturation.
