Egan's Legacy Reserve II - Limited to 1,000 bottles worldwide,
- is a rare Irish Single Malt that is aged for 16 years in used American borbon casks, then finished in Banyul casks. (Banyul wine: - a French wine made from old vines on the slopes of the Catalan Pyrenees.)
The aromas boast chocolate notes with a sweet and fruity palate. The taste is like classic Irish whiskey, nice and long with notes of apricot, dried figs and almost creamy in its flavor. Do yourself a favor and pour two drams into two glasses, the whiskey really develops when given air and time in the glass.
The whisky is "Non-Chillfiltered" i.e. not chill filtered, so all the good flavor notes are preserved and it maintains a good alc. percentage of 46%.
