In Alsace it isn't called Champagne, but Crémant - made using exactly the same method, just in the shadow of the more famous name, with biodynamically grown grapes behind every bubble.

    Expert's Description

Domaine Saint-Rémy Crémant d'Alsace Brut Cuvée Prestige Biodynamic is a Sparkling Wine from Alsace, France made from Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Auxerrois, bottled at 12.5% ABV.

The name Crémant denotes sparkling wines from Alsace, produced by the Traditional Method with bottle fermentation, the same method known from Champagne. Domaine Saint-Rémy grows its grapes biodynamically, meaning the estate works to nature's own rhythms without synthetic sprays. The cuvée is dry, delicate and lively with a crisp finish.

    Did You Know?

Crémant may only be called Champagne if the grapes come from the Champagne region itself - so even though the method is identical, the Alsace version is legally a completely different category of wine, just at a different price point.
