Cointreau L'Unique is a French Fruit liqueur based on sweet and bitter orange peels, bottled at 40%.

The story of Cointreau began in 1849, when brothers Adolphe and Édouard-Jean Cointreau founded their confectionery and distillery in Angers. It was Édouard Cointreau, son of Édouard-Jean, who in 1875 perfected the recipe for a new kind of orange liqueur, more concentrated in flavour and less sweet than the curaçaos of the time. He called it Triple Sec, and the iconic square, amber-coloured bottle quickly became a fixture in bars around the world. Cointreau L'Unique is distilled from a blend of sweet and bitter orange peels on a neutral sugar beet spirit base.

The nose is clean and intensely orange. On the palate, Cointreau L'Unique is bright and lively with a clear, concentrated orange flavour, while the finish is dry and refreshing without excessive sweetness.
