Named after the distillery's founder Homère Clément, this Hors d'Age cuvée gathers the cellar master's favourites from the past fifteen years into the top marque of the house's Cellar Master's Selection series.
Expert Description
Clement Rhum Vieux Agricole Cuvee Homere is a Martinique Rhum Agricole with no age statement, a blend of rhum aged 7 to 15 years, bottled at 44%.
The rum is distilled from fresh sugar cane juice at the Fonds-Préville distillery on Martinique and carries the official AOC Martinique designation, guaranteeing every stage of production. After open-tank fermentation with French baker's yeast for 24 hours, the rum is distilled on a Creole copper column still, after which the cellar master selects his favourite distillates from the past fifteen years, aged in French Limousin oak barrels and re-charred bourbon barrels. The name honours Homère Clément, the distillery's founder.
The result is a velvety, complex rhum, where spiced oak meets dried tropical fruit and roasted nuts.
