Three cask types at once is rare for an Irish blend, but Clan Colla Family Bond 11 Year Old dares to try. The result is a whiskey with more layers than most of its peers.

    Expert Review

Clan Colla Family Bond 11 Year Old is a Blended Irish Whiskey matured in Bourbon, Oloroso Sherry and peated casks, bottled at 46%.

The whiskey is a smooth yet complex blend of double distilled malt whiskey combined with grain whiskey. The triple cask maturation across ex-Bourbon casks, Oloroso Sherry casks and peated casks brings together sweetness, depth and a hint of smoke in one glass. The expression has previously won gold at the Irish Whiskey Masters and the Tokyo Whisky and Spirits Competition.

    Tasting Notes

    Nose

Dark fruit and sherry sweetness, with a subtle hint of smoke in the background.

    Palate

Caramel and dried fruit meet a light, smoky spice character from the peated casks.

    Finish

Long, with cocoa, oak and a lingering smoky note.
