Smoke rising from earthen pits, the crunch of the tahona wheel, the heavy scent of roasted agave - Casamigos Mezcal Joven carries Oaxaca's craft with it in every drop.

    Expert Description

Casamigos Mezcal Joven is a Mexican Joven Mezcal made from 100% agave, bottled at 40% ABV.

The mezcal is produced in Oaxaca by a family who have worked the craft for four generations. Espadín agave is slow-roasted in earthen pits, crushed the traditional way with a tahona wheel and twice-distilled in copper pot stills. Casamigos was founded in 2013, and the mezcal builds on the same philosophy of a few, carefully crafted expressions. It's unaged and crystal clear, as a true joven should be.

    Tasting Notes

    Nose

Fragrant herbs and fruit, with hints of tamarind and pomegranate alongside fresh mint, dried oregano and a whisper of smoke.

    Palate

Rich, earthy agave with a subtle smokiness and black pepper.

    Finish

Long and silky, with lingering smoke and pepper.
