On an estate in the Jalisco highlands, the Hermosillo family has grown agave for generations – in this bottle, it gets a full two years to mellow in French oak until it turns as soft as velvet.

    Expert Description

Casa Noble Añejo Tequila is a Mexican Añejo Tequila made from 100% agave, bottled at 40%.

The brand was founded in 1993 by José "Pepe" Hermosillo, whose family has roots in tequila production in Jalisco going back generations. Casa Noble's agave is grown organically on the distillery's own estate, hand-harvested and cooked in traditional stone ovens, before natural fermentation and triple distillation at the La Cofradía distillery near the town of Tequila. The Añejo then rests for a full two years in new French oak barrels – twice as long as many other añejo tequilas – giving it an unusual softness and depth.

    Tasting Notes

    Nose

Dried fruit and spice, backed by toasted oak and a touch of vanilla.

    Palate

Butterscotch and vanilla wrap around a sweet, cooked agave core, with warm notes of toasted oak.

    Finish

Long and round, with a last hint of caramel.
