Box Destilleri The 2nd Step Collection 01 is a Swedish Single Malt Whisky matured in first-fill bourbon and sherry casks, bottled at 51.1%.

The whisky is created from a combination of first-fill bourbon casks and casks that previously held sherry, giving a fine balance between sweetness, spice and cask character, while preserving the distillery's clean, elegant profile. It was bottled in February 2016.

Tasting Notes

Nose

Fresh fruit notes of green apples, pears and citrus, followed by honey, vanilla and a subtle nutty tone from the sherry casks.

Palate

Full-bodied and lively with layers of malt, dried fruit, light caramel and spices such as ginger and cinnamon.

Finish

Long, warm and spiced with a touch of oak and a light dryness.
