Six grape varieties, one barrel and a few years in the dark – the result is a small bottle with surprisingly much character for its size.
Expert's Description
Martha's Special Reserve Tawny Port is a Tawny Port in a 5 cl bottle with an alcohol content of 19.5%.
The wine is blended from the traditional Douro grapes Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Barroca, Tinto Cão, Tinta Amarela and Tinta Roriz, and has rested in oak barrels for 6-8 years in the family's lodges in Baixo Corgo.
The Special Reserve style sits a level above the house's basic Tawny and marks the transition to the more complex, aged character that Martha's Wine & Spirits is known for.
