High West Distillery Whiskey
High West Distillery was founded in 2006 by David Perkins and his wife, Jane. David - a former biochemist - was inspired to open his own distillery after seeing the parallels between the fermentation and distillation process and his own work in biochemistry during a trip to Maker's Mark Distillery in Loretto, Kentucky. In 2004, David and his family moved to Park City, Utah to start their new adventure, where they began distilling in 2007. They chose Park City because of David's love of the Old West and Utah's unknown whiskey history.
High West The distillery started out with a small 250-gallon still and a saloon visitor center. What was once a small operation in downtown Park City has now grown into an internationally recognized brand with four unique locations. In 2015, High West opened their distillery in Wanship, Utah, which serves as a location for whiskey tastings and distillery tours, and today houses a 1600 gallon pot still.
High West's products have received numerous awards. In 2016, Whisky Advocate - America's leading whiskey magazine - named High West "Distillery of the Year."

is a classic bourbon whiskey, aged from 2 to 13 years in new toasted American oak barrels. It is composed of whiskey produced from the following mash bills:
- 75% corn, 21% rye, 4% malted barley from Midwest Grain Products (MGP).
- 84% corn, 8% rye, 8% malted barley from an undisclosed source.
- Other whiskey components not disclosed for contractual reasons.
High West Whiskey Campfire Mix of Whiskey from the USA and Scotland 46
is a blend of American and Scotch whisk(e)y, aged from 4 to 8 years in new burnt American oak and ex-bourbon barrels. It consists of whiskey produced from the following mash bills:
- Straight Rye Whiskeys: 95% rye, 5% malted barley from Midwest Grain Products (MGP) and 80% rye, 20% malted rye from High West Distillery.
- Straight Bourbon Whiskey: 75% corn, 21% rye, 4% malted barley from MGP.
- Blended Peated Malt Scotch Whisky: Undisclosed source due to contractual reasons.
High West Whiskey Double Rye Small Batch USA 46%
is a rye whiskey, aged from 2 to 7 years in new toasted American oak barrels, and composed of a blend of two different rye whiskeys. It is designed to be twice as spicy (cinnamon, nutmeg and clove) as the average rye whiskey. It consists of whiskey produced from the following mash bills:
- 95% rye, 5% malted barley from Midwest Grain Products (MGP).
- 80% rye, 20% malted rye from High West Distillery.
High West Whiskey Rendezvous Rye High West Distillery USA 46
is a rye whiskey, aged from 4 to 7 years in new toasted American oak barrels, and contains 97.5% rye. It consists of whiskey produced from the following mash bills:
- 95% rye, 5% malted barley from Midwest Grain Products (MGP).
- 80% rye, 20% malted rye from High West Distillery.
