Big Peat Feis Ile The Smokehouse Edition - New from Islay Festivalen

Are you a fan of food on the grill and perhaps also love a good whisky? Then here's the perfect Big Peat whisky, the brand new Feis Ile edition, perfect for a delicious steak.

Big Peat Feis Ile The Smokehouse Edition

The award-winning Islay Malt, Big Peat, today unveils their special bottling for Fèis Ìle 2023:
Big Peat - The Smokehouse Edition.

This global Limited Edition has a higher alcoholic strength this year at 48% and is primarily aged in rich and robust red wine casks. This is the first wine finish from Big Peat, and fans of this "cult" Islay Malt can expect notes of "dark fruits", "dried cherries", "smoked meat" and "red currant/gooseberry" - the ultimate dram to pair with steak and food from the grill.

This Limited Edition Scotch Whisky is packaged in a premium white and gold gift box that is decorated with their signature smoke, marking a more distinctive look than from Big Peat's classic color combinations. On each bottle hangs a red wax seal of approval from Big Peat, which itself is affixed front and center and embossed with yellow foil.

To support the launch, the team behind the iconic Islay Malt has once again partnered with Peatzeria, an artisanal pizza restaurant in Bowmore, Islay, where Big Peat will be the "protagonist" of three tastings. Together they will host tasting sessions on Friday, May 26 and Saturday, May 27, where ticket holders will have the chance to taste the new festival release alongside various Big Peat flavors including a Islay Single Cask Single Malt, which is paired with fresh local delicacies.
Emma Reid, Big Peat's Brand Manager: "Big Peat fans have the chance to try something very different in the The Smokehouse Edition. This is Big Peat as you've never seen it before, aged primarily in red wine casks, giving the already robust and smoky spirit a layer of extra complexity and character, ideal for enjoying with a celebratory steak. Fèis Ìle is the perfect time to try The Smokehouse Edition
