Highland Park Full Volume Single Orkney Malt Whisky 47,2% Distillery: Highland Park Fullvolume Age: NA Type: Single Orkney Malt Whisky Alc. strength: 47.2% 70 cl. Other: Limited edition
Highland Park Full Volume Limited Edition 70cl / 47,2% Island Single Malt Scotch Whisky Distillery BottlingThe expression coordinates the skills of a whisky maker with the expertise of a music producer, which are said to be similar due to the need for balance. Gordon Motion, Highland Park's master whisky maker, created Full Volume using 100% ex-Bourbon casks. Distilled in 1999 and bottled in 2017, its flavour profile is described as "citrus, creamy vanilla with a lightly smoky finish".The packaging is inspired by old fashion guitar amplifiers to demonstrate the "synergy of music and whisky". The dials on the side indicate the different measures of Bourbon, peat, vanilla and fruit flavours.
Highland Park is produced at the world's northernmost distillery on the legendary Orkney Islands.Highland Park was built in 1798 on the very islands that were said to have belonged to a famous whisky smuggler. The smuggler, Magnus Eunson, enjoyed a strong position within the church and was therefore able to go about his side business undisturbed. Who would want to search for the forbidden commodity under the pulpit? The unique character of Highland Park is due to the peat used as fuel when drying the grain. This peat has absorbed salty waves for centuries, giving a heathery note to the whisky. The whisky is aged in oak casks for at least 12 years. Little by little, the whisky matures and the fiery flavor mellows and the whisky achieves an exceptionally smooth character. A careful and time-consuming process that guarantees that this whisky reaches its perfection. Michael Jackson, author of many famous books on whisky describes Highland Park as "the greatest all-rounder in the world of malt whisky".From Malt Whisky Yearbook 2012:Owner: The Edrington Group Region/district: Highlands (Orkney) Founded: 1798 Status: Active (vc) Capacity: 2 500 000 liters Address: Holm Road, Kirkwall, Orkney KW15 1SU Tel: 01856 874619 Website: www.highlandpark.co.uk History: 1798 - David Robertson founds the distillery.
