    Skærsøgaard Vin is the first Danish authorized winery and is located in Dons near Kolding. The winery is owned by Sven Moesgaard. More than 16,000 vines are grown outdoors on approx. 5.5 hectares. Wine is characterized by Danish summer with light nights, slow aromatic ripening of the grapes and classic craftsmanship and quality production of the wine. Most of Skærsøgaard's wines have received praise and medals at the annual EU-regulated Danish Wine Show since 2001. In addition, the wines from the 2006 vintage have received 62 prestigious international awards.
