Fifty Pounds Gin
Fifty Pounds GinNamed after a harsh tax law that was levied against gin distillers in 1736. Under this new law all gin distillers were required to pay a fee of fifty pounds, the producers were not happy and in six long years only two of them paid up! This gin is produced by Thames distillers using a recipe that dates back to those times. Quadruple distilled neutral spirit is used and the botanicals are steeped for 48 hours before being distilled again in a specialized 'John Dore' still. |
