1975 – The distillery is founded by Chivas Brothers, a subsidiary of Seagrams, in order to secure malt whisky for its blended whiskies. The total cost amounts to £2.7 million.
1989 – Production has doubled.
2001 – Pernod Ricard takes over Chivas Brothers from Seagrams
2002 – Mothballed in October.
2005 – Production restarts in May.
